As noted earlier, SmackDown wrestler Kizarny (Nick Cvjetkovich) was cut last Monday. His release was largely expected as people thought he was going to be fired as recently as several weeks ago when the company was letting people go left and right.

Vince McMahon was quite negative on his television in-ring debut, which aired on the January 2, 2009 edition of SmackDown. Following the match — despite several weeks of vignettes — his push was stopped dead and he didn't have another singles match on television.

Cvjetkovich previously worked as a regular in TNA during the weekly pay-per-view era as part of The Disciples of The New Church under the name Sinn, teaming with Slash (formerly Wolfie D) and managed by Jim Mitchell. Cvjetkovich left the promotion in early 2004, but made two more appearances in late 2005. He attempted get his job back with the company in the fall of 2006, but was unable to. Soon after, he headed to WWE's developmental promotion, Ohio Valley Wrestling, in hopes of landing a contract. Cvjetkovich signed a developmental contract with WWE in July 2007 and made his debut in October 2007 under the name Sinn Bowdee. On the October 10, 2008 edition of SmackDown, vignettes promoting the debut of Cvjetkovich, now under the ring name "Kizarny", began to air.

-- 5,000 tickets remain for Wrestlemania XXV in Houston, not including additional ones that will likely be released after production moves in. The event is expected to be full one way or another. As far as the Hall of Fame ceremony is concerned, a few hundred tickets remain for the event.

-- In John Bradshaw Layfield's latest blog on the WWE Universe site, he said his planned "historic moment" for WrestleMania XXV is unrelated to defending the Intercontinental title. "This
is not the historic thing I have been hinting at," JBL wrote. "At WrestleMania, I plan to make history as only JBL can. I continue my pledge that I will shock the wrestling world." The blog post has since been deleted.
