The Academy Award nominated movie by Darren Aronofsky, “The Wrestler” will officially be released on DVD on April 21st with a Blu-Ray DVD also available according to Amazon.
-- Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was quoted in the Orlando Sentinel talking about The Wrestler, saying "That is a very authentic world that Darren Aronofsky showed us. My uncle trained Mickey Rourke for the movie and he mentioned something I don't think people took into account with his performance. Here was an actor in his 50s who never wrestled who had to train to be a wrestler and then carry the weight of having been a wrestler for 30 years. He had to show The Ram's mileage. Very impressive. Sad to say, that guy is a man I know too well. As globally successful as wrestling is and as wonderful as it has been to me, there's still that side to the business. And seeing it portrayed with that much honesty moved me."
