WWE Hall of Famer Afa was let go this past week in a cost cutting measure. He had been on the company payroll for years. As noted earlier, WWE released his son, Manu, last week.

As reported earlier, there was some paranoia within the Anoa'i family in recent months regarding Afa's involvement with The Wrestler as he helped train Mickey Rourke for the movie and Vince McMahon was initially displeased with the film (to put it mildly). Considering John Laurinaitis will be scouting talent at Afa's Wild Samoan Training Camp in June, there doesn't appear to be any hard feelings as their respective releases were simply business related and not as a result of the Hall of Famer's involvement with the movie.

-- Could a Rhythm & Blues reunion be in the works? At the Wondercon convention in San Francisco over the weekend, WWE Hall of Famer Greg "The Hammer" Valentine said he and Honky Tonk Man would be at Wrestlemania XXV in Houston.

-- In its fourth week out, WWE's "Voices" CD sold 5,256 copies this past week to finish at No. 114 on the charts. Total sales for the CD sit at 49,074
