Tomorrow night's edition of ECW on Sci-Fi will be headlined by Christian vs Finlay in a singles match.
Jason Powell of Prowrestling.net is reporting that there is some backstage heat on Raw head writer Brian Gewirtz due to the promo he scripted for John Cena on last week's episode of Raw. As you recall, Cena's promo included a few comments mocking announcer Michael Cole, and the general feeling is that the promo did not go over very well. It's being reported that Gewirtz wrote the promo because Vince McMahon has a long history of being hard on Michael Cole, so the promo was meant to be a rib of sorts, but because Vince has been a bit distant from the creative team lately it didn't pan out with the rest of the backstage crew much like he had planned. It should be noted that John Cena has no heat as a result of the promo as he was simply performing what was given to him.
