The big day has finally arrived as WWE's Studios's much anticipated 12 Rounds movie starring John Cena opens in theaters today. Unfortunately for Cena and WWE, the flick will face a tough challenge to win the opening weekend as it's slated to open in only 2,321 theaters — the fewest among the new movie releases this weekend.
The Haunting in Connecticut will open in 2,600 theaters whereas DreamWorks's Monsters vs. Aliens opens in 3,500 theaters.
In another comparison, The Marine opened in 2,545 theaters during its opening weekend, generating $7,138,774.
