Harry Redknapp has admitted he would walk away from Tottenham Hotspur if the club were relegated from the Premier League.

Former Portsmouth boss Redknapp took over at White Hart Lane last October with the club marooned at the foot of the table.

Spurs now lie 12th in the standings, four points above the drop zone with 10 games of the season remaining.

Redknapp confirmed he would leave the club if they were relegated, revealing: "That's how I would feel, but I don't see that happening. I don't see it as an issue.

"When I took over, I was very confident we would stay up, and I still am."

Meanwhile, Redknapp has bemoaned the lack of emerging home-grown talent.

"If I could find good, young English players, I would, but it is very, very difficult," he said.

"You can go out and make a point of buying English players, but if they're not good enough, it's a waste of time. I do think there is a dearth of top young English players."
