- Despite what some of you may or may not want, reports are indicating that the Don West/Mike Tenay angle is not a way to get West away from behind the announce table. It's been no secret that Jeff Jarrett has always been real high on Don West as a commentator and has said numerous times in the past that West wasn't going anywhere.

As of now, the plan is for Tenay and West to to present a heel/face combination as announcers like wrestling used to have all the time. I believe their hope is to have West play the heel, especially since the color commentator is the natural fit for the bad guy antics, but that may be easier said than done since he received a positive reaction when he went off on Tenay.

If you look at the announcers in wrestling today (WWE and TNA), there really are no heel commentators. Jerry Lawler isn't anymore, Striker really doesn't go that route often, and isn't either, so Tenay and West would be the only full-fledged face/heel combination.

- TNA has done very well this past year in terms of overall revenue, reports The Wrestling Observer. Like any company, the economy has made them trim back costs in some areas, but not near to the extent that the WWE has has had to in recent months. Merchandise sales have increased substantially and running live events regularly has helped. However, a big part of their financial upswing is Spike TV giving them extra money for the second hour they added to Impact.
