Theo Walcott believes Arsenal's returning 'big hitters' will instil a fear in opponents during the final stages of the season.

The Gunners are preparing for an FA Cup semi-final with London rivals Chelsea, and, ahead of Friday's draw, are also waiting to discover their UEFA Champions League quarter-final opponents.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are hoping to hold off Aston Villa in the race for fourth place in the Premier League as Arsene Wenger's side brace themselves for a dramatic climax to the campaign.

Arsenal stumbled in mid-season, but a current 15-game unbeaten run in the league indicates a return to form for a team which had been struggling for cohesion and consistency.

Sharpness

And winger Walcott sees the approaching returns of injury victims Cesc Fabregas, Eduardo and Emmanuel Adebayor as another reason for optimism, saying: "Everyone is a big hitter at the club.

"Big names are coming back, which scares other teams, and that is a nice feeling.

"They will be back soon and hopefully we can push for the Champions League spots and some trophies.

"Last year we had our bad spell towards the end of the season and hopefully we have had it in the middle this time.

"With players coming back and the team getting back their sharpness and getting goals from all sorts of positions, hopefully we are going to have a good spell now."
